Zaporizhzhya oblast is the leader in Ukraine by the number of female mayors

    Zaporizhzhya and Dnipropetrovsk oblast are the leaders in Ukraine. There are 3 female mayors in such cities,as  Vilnyansk, Vasilevka, Primorsk, due to results of the monitoring of the Zaporizhzhya charity Foundation “Yednist” for the future”. There are  two women,who run the cities in such 6 regions as Odessa, Donetsk, Khmelnitskiy, Chernihiv, Ternopil, Rivne.There is one female mayor among such 8 regions as Dnipropetrovsk, Kyiv, Kharkiv, Kirovohrad, Ivano-Frankivsk, Lviv, Chernivtsi, Volyn.There is no female mayor  in such 8 regions as Kherson, Lugansk, Poltava, Vinnytsia, Zhytomyr, Cherkasy, Lutsk, Sumy. It worth be noted that there are interfactional groups “Equal opportunities”in Volnyansk and Vasilivka. This interfactional groups deal with issues of gender equality, protection of the rights of children and solve acute social problems  in the city and district councils.
